Pancreatic Cancer in Ohio, 1998-2002

A report released by the Ohio Department of Health in September 2005. The average annual incidence rate of pancreatic cancer for Cuyahoga exceeded the rate for all of Ohio.

In September 2005, the Ohio Department of Health released a report on the increasing incidence of pancreatic cancer and mortatlity in Ohio.

The average annual incidence rate of pancreatic cancer in Cuyahoga County was 12.1 cases per 100,000 in 1998-2002, higher than the 10.5 cases per 100,000 in the state.

Eight of 10 counties with the highest percentage of black race fall within the highest rate category (10.6 or more cases per 100,000 residents): Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hamilton, Montgomery, Lucas, Summit, Stark and Lorain.
